The Melody of the White Dharma Conch: My Heartfelt Advice to Benefit Han Chinese Disciples

This heartfelt advice was composed by Jetsünma Mumé Yeshe Tsomo, who is revered as Lama Mumtso by the entire Larung Gar sangha. Lama Mumtso is the spiritual head of the Larung Gar Five Sciences Buddhist Academy and is one of the most eminent female masters in this modern age. She is the niece of His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche and is widely recognized as a reincarnation of Jetsün Mingyur Paldrön.

This advice flowed directly from Lama Mumtso’s wisdom mind. She condenses the teachings of both Sutrayana and Tantrayana into this work and points out two expedient methods for the disciples to realize the nature of mind: invoking the blessings of the lineage guru and analysis through Buddhist scriptures and logical reasoning. Additionally, she offers many other practical methods that are applicable to practitioners of different abilities. Whoever puts this advice into actual practice can surely expect wisdom and compassion to arise in their minds.
